Wylie Agency Publisher's Two Year Amazon Deal
The minute Amazon’s Kindle store was announced, this became inevitable. The Wylie Agency, publishers of books by Salman Rushdie amongst others, has signed a two-year deal with Amazon to ensure their eBooks are only available via the Kindle store.
This was supposed to be the age of technology simplifying our lives, not the age of constant choices between being locked out of various content options. Wankers.
My current favourite pastime is looking at a stock ticker and deciding which company is secretly carrying out cybernetic or bio-genetic research that will lead to the downfall of humanity. Current top pick is “Genzyme”.

Airport 'Bomb Joker' Found Guilty
Paul Chambers, the chap who tweeted
“Crap! Robin Hood Airport is closed. You’ve got a week… otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!”
has been found guilty of breaching an obscure legislation relating to ‘menacing communication’, fined £1000 and given a criminal record. Utterly ludicrous. Link courtesy of the excellent JackOfKent blog.
